About Us
Our Deacons
Our deacons help turn ministry into action.
Our deacons lead and support many ministries throughout the congregation, helping meet practical needs and ensuring ministry opportunities continue to serve our church family and community effectively.
Whether serving in missions, youth programs, benevolence, facilities, technology, education, worship, fellowship, or outreach, our deacons play an important role in helping our congregation fulfill its mission.
"For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith."
— 1 Timothy 3:13
Meet Our Deacons

Trey Baker
Youth & Family
Trey serves to help encourage and guide the next generation in their faith. He believes adults have a responsibility to model what it means to live a Christian life with honesty, humility, and authenticity. He especially enjoys having meaningful conversations with our youth about real life, faith, and what it looks like to follow Christ through both victories and challenges.

Barney oversees building maintenance, repairs, security systems, and special projects throughout our church campus. He also works alongside various ministries to support their facility needs. Barney is grateful to serve the Lord's church in this capacity and is passionate about practicing good stewardship so that more resources can be dedicated to evangelism.

Brian Bruner
Adult Education
Brian serves through our Adult Bible Class ministry and has been teaching adult classes for many years. He values the opportunity to continually grow in his knowledge and understanding of God's Word while helping others do the same. Brian especially enjoys the discussions that take place in class and is thankful for the wisdom and insight shared by fellow Christians as we learn together and encourage one another in our faith.

We'd Love to Meet You!
One of the greatest strengths of Champions is the relationships that are built here.
Our elders and deacons are not distant leaders—they worship, serve, pray, and grow alongside the congregation every week. We encourage you to introduce yourself, ask questions, and get to know them personally.
Feel free to reach out to them at deacons@championschurch.org
