What began in 1941 as a small gathering of Christians has grown into a vibrant church family serving the greater Houston area and supporting mission efforts around the world. Through changing times, growing communities, and multiple generations of members, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to Jesus Christ and the truth of God's Word.
Today, we continue to build on that legacy by helping people know God, grow in faith, serve others, and share the hope found in Christ.
Our Story
The Church of Christ in Champions traces its roots back to 1941, when a small congregation began meeting in northwest Harris County.
As Houston grew, the congregation grew alongside it. Over the decades, God blessed the church with faithful leaders, dedicated families, and opportunities to expand both its facilities and its ministry efforts. From humble beginnings to our current campus, each generation has helped carry forward the mission of serving Christ and reaching others with the Gospel.
Throughout our history, we have remained committed to following the teachings of the New Testament and building a church family centered on faith, truth and love.

We believe spiritual growth happens best in community.
From children's programs and youth ministry to men's and women's groups, young adult gatherings, Bible studies, fellowship groups, and service opportunities, our ministries are designed to help people grow closer to God and one another.
There are opportunities for everyone to learn, serve, and become involved in the life of the church.
