Lance has been in full time ministry since 2013. Prior to ministry, he worked for a major healthcare company in sales and marketing. He holds a M.S. in Christian Ministry from Amridge University.
Lance is married to Susan and they have four daughters - Ashley (17), Carley (10), Kenzey (10). Their oldest daughter, Sydney, is married and they lives in Memphis, TN. Lance is an avid Georgia Bulldog football fan. He also enjoys playing golf, hunting, and fishing in his spare time.
Lance Leavens - Pulpit Minister
John and his wife Ramona came to Champions in March 1991. They came from Walled Lake, Michigan, where John served as the pulpit minister for 10 years. John presently serves as our associate minister, as well as ministering to our seniors and directing World Bible School. He is a graduate of Michigan Christian College (now Rochester College) with a major in Ministry and a minor in Counseling. John’s background contains varied experiences.
John Qualls - Associate Minister
Wes Arnold - Associate Minister
Wes joined the staff as a part time involvement minister in August of 2018. His chief responsibility being to match the deacon ministries with the desired area of work of each member. He graduated from Oklahoma Christian in 1977 with a bachelors degree in Accounting. He is a CPA and worked in industry after graduation from OC, until he retired in September 2016. He is the oldest son of one of the elders at champions, David and Martha Arnold. He was married to his wonderful wife Pam for 37 years before she left this earth for her heavenly home in 2012. He has 3 children and 7 grandchildren. His 2 daughters Niki and Rebecca attend Champions as well as 3 of his grandchildren Isaac, Jesse and Megan.
Jon Arvin is a native of Moore, Oklahoma. He came to Champions from Elk City, Oklahoma, where he was serving in full time youth and family ministry for 4 years. He graduated with a bachelors in Biblical Studies from the Bear Valley Bible institute International. Jon enjoys all things Oklahoma (except for the tornadoes). He loves to help young people understand who God created them to be, fall in love with Jesus and His word, and mentor them through difficult stages of the teenage years.

Jeanie has been the church secretary at Champions since May 1993. She is a native Texan, born and raised in Marlin, and having lived in Riesel and Burleson before moving to Houston in 1986. Jeanie and her husband David have two children (Chad and Kelli). She says she has been greatly blessed by the love and support of her church family and has enjoyed the many opportunities to serve God and all who worship at Champions.

Lisa Killough - MDO Director
Lisa came to Champions with her family in 1980. She graduated from Lubbock Christian University in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Business and History and later returned for a Secondary Education certification. While at LCU, she met and married Brent Killough. Soon after, they returned to the Houston area and have worshiped at Champions ever since. Lisa taught high school for four years before becoming a mother to Elizabeth, Jonathan and Timothy. Lisa became director of the Little Champs Mother’s Day Out program in the summer of 2002.
Ashley, her husband and their two dogs have been helping with youth for over 5 years. She's got a BS degree from Lipscomb University in business and grew up right here at Champions. She's worked with Children's Ministers in TN, teaches at our Mother's Day Out and have adopted with her husband, Aaron, their son Treveon. Her love for children is unquestionable. We are glad she is with us as she plans awesome events for your kids.
Ashley Trent - Children's Director
