Prison Ministry

"For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me."
~ Matthew 25:35-36

Jesus very clearly states in Matthews 25:34-40 that we reflect His character when we reach out to those in prison.

In the mid 1980s, groups of Christians from places like Bammel Road, Jersey Village and Hidden Valley teamed together to provide a church service to a local detention center.

Champions became involved in this ministry and continues to participate in the Sunday morning worship and a group of Tuesday evening Bible studies.
