Foreign missions is a powerful way for Champions to be like Jesus as we share the message of His love and sacrifice with a world hungry to know Him.

Truth for Today World Mission School

Truth for Today World Mission School (TFTWMS) is under the oversight of the elders and is the primary foreign mission focus for the congregation. TFTWMS is dedicated to printing gospel literature to promote world evangelism and is based out of Searcy, Ark. In 1989, with World Bible School teachers and the Champions congregation, Eddie Cloer began the Truth for Today Printed Preacher School. TFTWMS has put together a 10-year plan for covering the earth with the gospel. For more information see www.biblecourses.com.

Papau New Guinea

Craig Ford and his wife Jeri are missionaries serving in Alotau, Papua New Guinea and their work is also overseen by the elders at Champions. Their primary involvement areas are developing local church leaders, converting and influencing non-Christians and reaching out to the surrounding villages with regular visits and personal Bible studies. Craig was a former youth minister here at Champions. Craig and Jeri have three children: Hannah, Caleb and Elizabeth. For more information visit www.pngfords.com.

Slovakia

Roman Halamicek is a missionary serving in Bratislava, Slovakia, and his work is overseen by the elders at Champions. Roman is a native preacher who graduated from Sunset School of Preaching and was here during the summer of 2009. Champions has a long history of working with Christians in Slovakia.

Singapore and Southeast Asia

Peter Chin is a full time instructor and Dean of Admissions at the Four Seas Bible College in Singapore, a preacher training school in southeast Asia. Peter recently graduated from the Memphis School of Preaching in Memphis, Tenn., and has moved back to Singapore along with his family to work at the school. Champions financially assisted Peter during his studies at Memphis and continues to partially support his salary at the college. Peter is married to Pooi Fun and they have two children: Andy and Willy. Peter’s work is overseen by the Coldwater, Miss., congregation. Central America

The Biblical Institute of Central America is a two-year Bible school that trains local preachers/leaders. The school also provides vocational training. The work in Honduras is overseen by the Belton, Texas, Church of Christ and the work in Guatemala is overseen by the Fairmont Peak Church of Christ in Midland, Texas. France
