Empty Nesters

The “Empty Nesters” is an Involvement Group of Christians who enjoy the company and fellowship of others in similar life situations. While there are no hard and fast rules for those who want to be in this group, most of us are in our early 50’s to early 70’s. Also, generally our children are grown and have left home, making us “Empty Nesters.”

Goals

The goal of this group is to provide a situation for the growth and development of each individual through both spiritual and social, recreational activities.

Activities

Some of the spiritual activities are trips to visit some of the various works that the congregation at Champions supports such as Media Children's Home in Medina, Texas, and Truth for Today World Mission Printing located in Searcy, Arkansas. Other activities include game nights ("42" and so forth) and local trips to Kemah and the Bush Library. Some longer trips, such as to Branson, Missouri, are also in the planning stages.

Try it...you'll like it!

The Empty Nesters are trying to grow together in love for the Lord and for one another. You are welcome to come to the meetings, to participate in the activities of the group and to suggest additional spiritual and social activities. For more information contact Billy Tippit. Billy is a deacon at Champions and the leader of the Empty Nesters.
