About The Empty Nester's At Champions
The "Empty Nester's" are a group of Christians who have come together to have an opportunity to associate and enjoy the company and fellowship of others in similar life situations. While there is no hard and fast rule for those who want to be in this group, most of us are 45 to 65 years of age. Also, most generally our children are grown and have left home - making us "empty nester's."
GOALS
The goal of this group is to provide a situation for the growth and development of each individual through both spiritual and social, recreational activities.
ACTIVITIES
Some of the spiritual activities that are in the planning stages are trips to visit some of the various works that the congregation at Champions support such as Media Children's Home in Medina, Texas and Truth for Today World Mission Printing located in Searcy, Arkansas.
Other activities will include game nights ("42", etc.) and local trips to Kemah and the Bush Library. Some longer trips, such as to Branson, Missouri are also in the planning stages.
