Topic: Knowing God: The Desire of Our Heart and the Anchor of Our Soul
Our study this year is "Knowing God: The Desire of Our Heart and the Anchor of Our Soul," using selected Psalms in the process. The Psalms provide us with a window into the heart of God and a mirror of ourselves. Through our study we want to focus on the different attributes of God and the hearts of those who follow Him. Our goal is to develop a deeper faith and understanding of God, and to worship Him because of who He is and not just for what He gives. We want to be able to use the Psalms to find the words to praise God in our darkest hours, and turn our trials into triumphs. Most of the lessons for this study were developed by Mary Jean Young, of Oaks of Righteousness.
