What We Believe

…about Jesus.

Jesus and his disciples at the Last SupperWe believe that Jesus was fully man and fully God. We believe that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, called people into relationship with Him, and died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for all mankind. We believe that Jesus laid in the grave three days and rose again in the resurrection. We believe He is close, that He guides our path and continues to call men into His kingdom. We believe that Jesus will return one day to take His children home.

…about the Bible.

We believe that the books of the Bible are the divinely inspired Word of God. The Bible is the authority for all preaching and teaching. We refer to the scriptures for the answers to every question about life and godliness.

…about salvation.

We believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation (John 14:6). To be saved, you must (1) believe that Jesus is the Son of God, (2) repent of your sins, (3) confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior and (4) be baptized for the remission of sins.

…about baptism.

We believe in total immersion during baptism, which represents burial and resurrection as described by the apostle Paul in Romans 6:3-5. Faith must always precede baptism, so only those old enough to understand and believe the gospel can be baptized.
